Anti-inflammatory gel Fanigan Fast

Pharmacodynamics and pharmacokinetics

Pharmacodynamics

Diclofenac is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug. Blocks cyclooxygenase , suppresses the synthesis of prostaglandins - endogenous mediators of inflammation, temperature and pain. Thus, diclofenac reduces pain and inflammation.

Menthol irritates cold receptors. As a result, capillary permeability decreases locally and a feeling of coolness occurs. Menthol also has a local moderate analgesic effect.

A derivative of salicylic acid , methyl salicylate, has a local irritant effect. As a result, substance P from nerve cells. This reduces pain. Methyl salicylate also inhibits prostaglandin , which reduces swelling and tissue infiltration.

Oil obtained from flax seeds has an anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effect, and activates blood circulation at the site of application.

Pharmacokinetics

Gel Fanigan Fast begins to act 2-4 minutes after application to the skin. And after another half hour the effect reaches maximum strength. The disappearance of the main clinical symptoms usually occurs in the first few days after the start of therapy with Fanigan Fast Gel.

When the drug is applied topically, about 5% of the dose used is absorbed, its systemic effect is minimal.

Pharmacological properties

When applied topically, it has an analgesic, anti-inflammatory and anti-edematous effect. Eliminates pain and inflammation of joints, reduces morning stiffness and swelling of joints, and helps increase range of motion in joints. Pharmacodynamics. Fanigan's action? The fastness of the gel is due to the components that are included in its composition. Diclofenac belongs to the group of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. Inhibits cyclooxygenase, inhibits the biosynthesis of prostaglandins - endogenous substances that play an important role in the genesis of fever, inflammation and pain. Diclofenac relieves pain and eliminates inflammation. Menthol irritates cold receptors. This is accompanied by a narrowing and decrease in the permeability of capillaries at the site of application, and a feeling of coolness. Menthol has a local distracting and moderate analgesic effect. Methyl salicylate is a derivative of salicylic acid and has a local irritant effect. By irritating skin receptors, methyl salicylate leads to the formation and release into the blood of a large amount of biologically active substances that regulate pain sensitivity. Substance P is released from neurons. Reducing the accumulation of substance P in nerve endings leads to a decrease in pain. In addition, methyl salicylate, which belongs to the group of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, inhibits the synthesis of prostaglandins due to inhibition of cyclooxygenases, which reduces swelling and infiltration of inflamed tissues. Flax seed oil, the main component of which is alpha-linolenic acid (ethyl ester of an unsaturated fatty acid), has an anti-inflammatory effect, antioxidant properties, and improves blood circulation at the site of application. Fanigan's action? The fast of the gel begins within a few minutes after application to the skin. After 20–30 minutes, the effect of the gel reaches its maximum. The disappearance of the main clinical symptoms is usually observed during the first days from the start of treatment. Pharmacokinetics. Not studied.

Indications for use

Local treatment for: - diseases of the musculoskeletal system of an inflammatory and degenerative nature, which are accompanied by pain and swelling, such as: - rheumatoid arthritis, - ankylosing spondylitis (Bechterew's disease), - rheumatic lesions of soft tissues (tenosynovitis, bursitis, myositis), - acute gouty, infectious, psoriatic and post-traumatic arthritis, - degenerative joint diseases (osteoarthrosis of large and small joints), - osteochondrosis of the spine, - myalgia, neuralgia, sciatica; - injuries (bruises, sprains, muscles and tendons); - pain in muscles and joints caused by heavy physical activity. Directions for use and doses

Depending on the area of the painful area, 2–4 g of gel (a strip of 4–8 cm) is applied in a thin layer to the skin and lightly rubbed in 2–3 times a day. The average daily dose is 10 g of gel, which corresponds to 100 mg of diclofenac sodium. The drug should be applied to intact skin, avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes. Do not apply the gel to open wounds. The duration of treatment should not exceed 10 days without consulting a doctor. Side effects. Fanigan? Fast gel is well tolerated. When applied topically, a very small amount of the drug (approximately 5%) is absorbed and enters the systemic circulation, which helps reduce the likelihood of side effects that are typical for non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. Rarely, skin irritations are possible at the site of application, such as rashes, swelling and the formation of blisters, papules, scales, redness, as well as dry skin, a burning or tingling sensation, and itching of the skin. If diclofenac is applied to large surfaces of the body and for a long time, it is impossible to exclude the development of systemic side effects, similar to those that occur when taking tablets, suppositories or ampoules that contain diclofenac. In isolated cases, manifestations of a generalized rash, the development of a hypersensitivity reaction in the form of facial swelling (angioedema) and suffocation, as well as photosensitivity may be observed. If any side effects occur, additional examination and adjustment of therapy should be carried out. Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to diclofenac and other components of the drug; damage to the epidermis, open wounds at the site of application; status asthmaticus while taking acetylsalicylic acid; disorder of hematopoiesis of unknown etiology; gastric and duodenal ulcers in the acute stage; last trimester of pregnancy; children under 12 years of age (there is not enough experience on the external use of the drug at this age). Overdose

There is no data on overdose with topical application of Fanigan® Fast Gel. Features of application

For patients who have previously experienced a hypersensitivity reaction to topical use of acetylsalicylic acid, other salicylates and other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (asthmatic attacks, skin reactions or vasomotor rhinitis), the drug is prescribed with caution, carefully weighing all expected risk factors and benefits. Fanigan® Fast Gel should be used with caution if there is a history of peptic ulcers of the stomach and duodenum, impaired liver/kidney function, impaired blood formation, or polyposis of the nasal mucosa. After applying the gel, you must wash your hands to avoid contact of drug residues with mucous membranes and eyes. During periods of pregnancy and lactation, the gel should not be applied to large areas of the body and used for a long time, since to date there is no data on the harmful effects of the drug on the fetus. Interaction with other drugs

Fanigan® Fast Gel can be used simultaneously with other medications, since systemic interactions with them of the components of this drug have not been identified, including with oral administration of diclofenac sodium. But, with long-term use of Fanigan? Fast gel in large doses, it is necessary to take into account that diclofenac can enhance the effect of anticoagulants, glucocorticosteroids, lithium preparations, and also weaken the effect of furosemide and thiazide diuretics. The drug can increase the concentration of digoxin in the blood plasma, reduce the tolerance of other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, increasing their ulcerogenic effect on the mucous membrane of the gastrointestinal tract. With the simultaneous local use of several drugs that contain non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, local irritation in the form of urticaria, redness, and peeling may develop. Storage conditions

Store out of reach of children, protected from direct sunlight at a temperature not exceeding 25° C. Do not allow freezing. Best before date

2 years. Vacation conditions

Over the counter.
